About the project
Storyteller Sessions is a developing children’s storytelling, reading and cultural-learning project. Its heart is a simple act: someone brings a story to life for a child.
Our purpose
Help children discover the joy and power of stories, living languages and the cultures from which stories come.
The idea grew from the familiar request, “Read me a story.” It asks what professional performance, thoughtful design and readable words might add to that invitation.
The longer vision is a reusable collection that values stories, creative interpretation, accessibility and cultural context.
That vision requires people with different skills. This website is for the performers, representatives, creators, cultural voices, educators and supporters who can help shape the beginning.
What should guide the work
Make the first ask specific. Be clear about time, rights, use and expectations. Let deeper involvement be a choice.
Work with people connected to a story’s language, community and history. Discuss consent, context and stewardship.
Explain what is being proposed and what is ready. Build evidence and appropriate safeguards as the project develops.
Where the project stands
This site introduces the contributor opportunity. It does not offer a live story library or app, list unconfirmed partners, or represent an established program of educational results.
For current project, production or funding details, start a conversation. A specific contribution should come with a clear explanation of its status and requirements.
